Nancha Wild Hazelnut Mushrooms
Wild hazelnut mushrooms are one of the unique mountain delicacies of Heilongjiang, China. They are among the very few edible fungi that cannot be cultivated artificially, making them a truly green food product. These mushrooms have a delicious flavor, and braised chicken with hazelnut mushrooms is an indispensable traditional dish served to honored guests in Northeast China. Nancha District is located in the northeast of Heilongjiang Province, on the southeastern foothills of the Lesser Khingan Mountains and along the lower reaches of the Tangwang River. Wild hazelnut mushrooms are one of the main local specialty mountain products in Nancha.
