Serpentine Ore Mine
Serpentine Ore Mine: Serpentine is mainly used in the production of calcium magnesium phosphate fertilizer, as a smelting flux, in refractory materials, and for making handicrafts.
The serpentine ore deposit in Xinxing District is 650 meters long and 500 meters wide, with reserves of 19.94 million tons. It contains 25.24–41.82% magnesium oxide, averaging 36.80%; 35.45–48.38% silicon dioxide, averaging 39.00%; and 0.13–2.54% calcium oxide, averaging 0.59%. According to the general industrial criteria for serpentine deposits, the magnesium oxide content of this mine meets the requirements for the calcium magnesium phosphate fertilizer industry. Moreover, it has relatively high levels of cobalt and nickel, which allows for comprehensive utilization.
