Yushu City is located on the world-renowned "Golden Corn Belt" and enjoys superior natural conditions. The corn produced here has a starch content of up to 67%, and Yushu soybeans are famous both at home and abroad. In recent years, the city’s annual grain output has remained stable at around 2.5 billion kilograms. A wide range of agricultural operations and livestock production have developed rapidly, centered on eight major production bases: pigs, cattle, poultry, fish, fruit, vegetables, tobacco, and miscellaneous crops. Yushu Daqu liquor won a gold award at the Paris International Food Expo in France. The "Jiqi" brand of quick-frozen premium-cut beef and pork is hailed as "Jilin Beef" and "Jilin Pork" in Russia's Far East region. (Yushu)
