Zhen Butong Pickles
Among the 40 types of pickled vegetables included in the Jilin cuisine repertoire, 12 varieties from Zhen Butong stand out for their distinctive local flavors—these include Zhen Butong pickled meat, smoked meat, char siu, cardamom pork knuckle, smoked small intestines, braised chicken, roast chicken, scallion-smoked yellow croaker, smoked beef jerky, and Zhen Butong southern-style sausage dish.
The authentic production center of Zhen Butong pickles is now located at the pickled vegetable department of Sima Road Restaurant on Yongchun Road.
