  A perennial herb growing up to 12 (16) cm tall, the whole plant is covered with white branched hairs. The root is slender, the rhizome is multi-headed, with fibrous remnants of leaves. The stems are clustered, erect, and slender, curving snake-like at the apex, sometimes branching. The basal leaves are rosulate, spatulate, 15–25 mm long and 2–4 mm wide, gradually narrowing at the base, slightly pointed at the tip, entire or with a few marginal teeth; the cauline leaves are 2–4 in number, ovate, 15–20 mm long and 4–6 mm wide, usually with two small apical teeth on each side. The raceme elongates after flowering, with white flowers; the sepals are ovate, 2.5 mm long and 1–1.5 mm wide, sparsely hairy on the back; the petals are obovate, 3 mm long and 1.5 mm wide, the base extending downward into a claw, the tip slightly notched; the ovary is ovate and glabrous. The silique is narrowly oblong, 5–8 mm long and 1.5–2 mm wide, often twisted, glabrous, with a distinct midvein; the seeds are arranged in two rows, brown, ovate, with incumbent cotyledons. Flowering occurs in June, fruiting in July.

  It grows on high mountain slopes.

  It is distributed in China (Northeast), Russia (Eastern Siberia, Kamchatka), and North America.
