Nourishing Mushroom Hotpot
Li Guoliang from Heidouyu Village, Huangsongyu Township, Pinggu District, runs the Baixiang Folk Garden, where he cultivates edible mushrooms and operates a restaurant featuring self-grown and wild mushroom-based dishes. Over 20 varieties of mushrooms are prepared using various cooking methods such as deep-frying, sautéing, stir-frying, smoking, stewing, and braising. The textures, aromas, flavors, and presentations are all top-notch—offering a delightful balance of lightness and richness, with savory, salty, and spicy notes. These dishes are highly nutritious and health-promoting, especially the Nourishing Mushroom Hotpot, which stands out as the most distinctive offering.
Nourishing Mushroom Hotpot: The broth base includes caterpillar fungus, Gastrodia elata slices, ganoderma slices, grass ginseng, goji berries, red dates, and chicken soup made from firewood-raised chickens.
Side ingredients: wood ear mushrooms, enoki mushrooms, pig stomach mushrooms, phoenix tail mushrooms, crab flavor mushrooms, and shiitake mushrooms.
