Dàtáo (Peaches) from Jiādiàn Town, Liújiādiàn
Jiādiàn Town is situated in the northwest of Pínggu District, Běijīng, approximately 70 kilometers from downtown Běijīng. It spans a total area of 35.6 square kilometers, includes 14 administrative villages, and has a population of 11,000. Thanks to adjustments in the industrial structure and the enforcement of water conservancy policies designed to benefit mountain residents, the town’s residents have leveraged their distinctive natural environment to establish a specialized fruit production base, focusing primarily on flat peaches. The area under fruit cultivation has reached 50,000 mu, yielding 80 million kilograms of fresh and dried fruit annually. These fruits are recognized as premium products of the eastern Běijīng region and are exported as far as Guǎngdōng and Hong Kong.
