Dalian cherries

　　　The main types of cherries produced in Dalian include five varieties: Chinese cherry and mountain cherry native to China’s Yangtze River basin, European sour cherry, European sweet cherry, and the hybrid Dalian sweet cherry. Major cultivars are “Juhong,” “Sunrise,” “Zaofeng,” “Naweng,” “Huangyu,” “Hongyan,” “Hongdeng,” “Hongmi,” and others. Among them, “Juhong” is particularly renowned. In recent years, Dalian has also introduced premium new varieties such as Satonishiki, Takasago, and Shogun.
