　　In recent years, through continuous cultivation and development, Wafangdian City’s broiler chicken industry has surpassed a scale of 15 billion yuan, ranking first in the nation.

　　 Currently, Wafangdian City has 10 leading broiler slaughtering and processing enterprises—the highest number among all county-level cities in China. It also has 2 national-level leading enterprises, over 100 related supporting enterprises, 21 enterprises above designated size, a slaughtering and processing capacity of 390 million chickens, an annual slaughter volume of 250 million chickens, 195 standardized large-scale farms, 3 national-level standardized demonstration farms, and an annual broiler production of 200 million chickens. At present, broiler processing enterprises in Wafangdian have established 22 provincial-level marketing outlets in Hong Kong, Macau, and various provincial capitals, with their products sold to Southeast Asia, West Asia, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, as well as Hong Kong and Macau. All products manufactured by these enterprises hold independent intellectual property rights. Brands such as “Jiastar” and “Xincheng” have been registered nationally and recognized as famous-brand products and trademarks in Liaoning Province. A total of 5 broiler chicken products in the city have been awarded national, provincial, or Dalian municipal-level famous-brand status. All broiler processing enterprises have obtained ISO22000 quality management system certification and HACCP food safety management system certification.

　　 Currently, Wafangdian City has become an important hub for broiler chicken breeding, processing, and sales in Liaoning Province. It has formed an integrated industrial chain encompassing parent stock breeding, chick hatching, feed processing, broiler raising, slaughtering and processing, and product sales. The food processing industry cluster centered around broilers has exceeded a scale of 15 billion yuan, creating jobs for over 200,000 people along the industrial chain. Farmers alone have earned a net profit of 223 million yuan from broiler breeding. The excess slaughtering and processing capacity has also helped more farmers in surrounding areas such as Pulandian, Zhuanghe, Gaizhou, and Lushun achieve prosperity, making it one of the key pillar industries driving wealth for local and nearby farmers.
