Liu Zhong Village in Changcheng Subdistrict, Dalian City, currently has 2,200 mu of arable land, 600 mu of vegetable fields, 400 farming households, and a population of over 1,000. The main source of economic income for local farmers comes from vegetable cultivation, with over 40 varieties of vegetables produced, making it one of Dalian’s pollution-free green vegetable production bases.

Relying on investment attraction to bring in enterprises, Liu Zhong Village has implemented a “company + base + farmer” production model and established an edible fungi production base, forming a complete edible fungi production chain. Over 500 villagers have been supported to build edible fungi cultivation greenhouses, with the company providing the spawn and taking responsibility for purchasing, processing, and selling the produce. Each household can earn more than 50,000 yuan per year from a single greenhouse. To date, over 20 new cultivation greenhouses have been added. The village plans to invest 2 million yuan to develop 30 more edible fungi greenhouses, enabling even more villagers to engage in this industry. In parallel with the development of edible fungi farming, the village is also vigorously promoting the production of pollution-free green vegetables, helping and guiding vegetable farmers shift from traditional planting methods to a more specialized, intensive, and commercialized eco-agriculture model to increase incomes. A protected agriculture facility project has been launched across the village, covering a planned area of 200 mu. The project is being implemented in two phases, using Cluster Type 1 greenhouse structures, with total investment exceeding 6 million yuan.

In 2011, Liu Zhong Village (Edible Fungi) in Changcheng Subdistrict, Lushunkou District, Dalian City, was recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture as a National “One Village, One Product” Demonstration Village.
