  Shrimp chips are a traditional specialty processed product from Dalian, Liaoning Province, with over 50 years of production and processing history. Made primarily from high-quality cornstarch from Northeast China and the unique wild mantis shrimp found in the coastal waters near Lushun, Dalian, these chips are known for their neat shape, high expansion rate, crispy texture, and unique umami flavor. For many years, they have been favored by consumers both at home and abroad.

  Lushunkou District of Dalian City is the most concentrated area for shrimp chip production and processing in China, where all registered Dalian-based shrimp chip export enterprises are located. After nearly 30 years of development, Lushunkou District has become the largest shrimp chip production, processing, and export hub in the country. The district currently hosts seven registered shrimp chip export enterprises, with an annual production capacity of nearly 20,000 tons and an annual export volume exceeding 8,000 tons. This accounts for over 80% of the national export total for similar products, with sales reaching over 40 countries and regions across Europe, Africa, and Southeast Asia.

  The production area for Dalian shrimp chips covers the current administrative region of Lushunkou District, Dalian City, Liaoning Province (including Longwangtang).
