Sticky Fire Scoops
During the slack farming season in the winter and lunar December, people who have been busy all year long celebrate the joy of harvest by making large quantities of Sticky Fire Scoops to store and eat, or to give as New Year gifts when visiting relatives and friends.
Making Sticky Fire Scoops is not particularly troublesome. Since it is a sticky food, sticky corn, sticky rice, and yellow glutinous rice are used as the main ingredients. These are ground into a starchy dough using the same method as above, impurities are removed, and then it is ready for making the scoops. The filling is made from premium red beans that are cooked and mashed. When cooking, a small amount of oil is wiped on the hot inner wall of the iron pan (to prevent sticking), then the prepared sticky rice dough is wrapped around the bean filling, flattened into small disc shapes, and stuck onto the pan to be baked until done.
