　　The Chinese Honeybee is one of the top ten high-quality local bee varieties in Liaoning Province and has been included in the national key breed conservation program. In recent years, the sales volume of its honey has been increasing at a rate of about 35%. Particularly, customers from Japan and South Korea have been coming to Dandong to purchase Chinese Honeybee honey, driving prices up year by year. The honey is now in high demand and short supply. Kuandian County is home to 20,000 colonies of Chinese Honeybees, accounting for one-tenth of the nation's total and one-half of the province's, making it an important production area for the species in the province.
