Suizhong Apples is a geographical indication certification trademark.

　　    Suizhong County in Huludao City has a long history and abundant resources in fruit tree cultivation. In 1998, it ranked among the top ten fruit-producing counties in China, with over 600,000 mu of fruit orchards and more than 16 million trees, producing over 400,000 tons of fruit annually. Since the early 1990s, Suizhong County began demonstrating and promoting the bagging technique for apple cultivation. By the year 2000, the total number of bagged apples in the county had reached 300 million, significantly improving fruit quality and increasing output value by over 100 million yuan just from this measure. In 2007, the second year of implementing the provincial key project on fruit bagging techniques with subsidy support in Suizhong County, the program covered an area of 2,500 mu with 20 million bags. Although the scale was limited, it played a positive role in promoting the development of the local fruit industry and improving fruit quality.
