Spicy Mix: Primarily made with ingredients such as potatoes, kelp knots, tofu skin, meatballs, fish balls, cabbage, wide rice noodles, chrysanthemum greens, Chinese cabbage, pressed tofu, tofu puffs, crab sticks, mushrooms, etc. (Starting in 2009, flatbread or rice noodles were added). The ingredients are similar to those of spicy hot pot, but after boiling, the water is drained, and the dish is then mixed with salt, aged vinegar, sugar, crushed peanuts, chili, cumin, sesame oil, and other seasonings before being served. It was invented by people in Fushun based on the introduced spicy hot pot concept and has become extremely popular. It comes in sweet and sour flavors, spicy flavors, and more, with the taste adjustable according to personal preference. There are also varieties like nine-leaf powder, and nowadays, similar Spicy Mix dishes have appeared in areas around Liaoning. It is the food most missed by Fushun natives when they are away from home.

Some of the more famous Spicy Mix spots are mainly located near several schools, such as Fushun No. 1 High School, No. 2 High School, No. 10 High School, No. 12 High School, No. 6 High School, and No. 23 High School. The Spicy Mix from around these schools is considered top-tier, with each shop offering its own unique style and enjoying great popularity.
