Jianping Embroidery
Embroidery refers to the decorative patterns stitched onto fabric using needle and thread. Jianping Embroidery blends the characteristics of Mongolian embroidery and Lu Embroidery. After centuries of refinement by artisans, it has developed a rustic charm with bold, vibrant colors. It primarily employs stitching techniques such as straight stitch, long-and-short stitch, laid stitch, and damask stitch. The finished pieces appear on clothing, pillow tops, door curtains, and more. Jianping Embroidery was exhibited in cities such as Beijing and Shenyang in the 1980s, where it received praise from experts and scholars.
