There are many factors that influence coffee flavor. In recent years, coffee professionals have delved into bean processing methods, offering coffee enthusiasts unique and novel flavor experiences. The Chocolate Lover’s Estate in the Santa Ana Volcano region of El Salvador clearly excels in this area. They offer a coffee bean that uses a hybrid processing method—half washed and half honey processed—resulting in a more multi-layered flavor and richer mouthfeel. It has fruity and nutty aromas, with notes of nuts, cream, and caramel on the palate, and a finish of berry and citrus acidity. Overall, the flavor profile is well-balanced.

The Chocolate Lover’s Estate is located on a farm in the Santa Ana Volcano region of El Salvador, at an altitude of 1300–1500 meters, situated on the mountainside of the volcanic belt. The abundant moisture and numerous microclimates here create very delicate flavors in the coffee grown in the area. The farm primarily cultivates the Bourbon variety, which spreads across the entire mountainside. Since the original forest in this region is well-preserved, the coffee plantation is often visited by local wildlife such as birds and reptiles.

The estate owner employs a jungle-style planting method, preserving many native tree species as shade trees. This also provides suitable habitats for wildlife, reflecting a benevolent approach to the environment. The estate also cares about the livelihoods of farmers, distributing bonuses during various festivals to help improve their quality of life.
