Lingwu Zhazi Charcoal
Produced in Ciyabao, Lingwu City, this charcoal has been mined for over 600 years. Though soft in texture, it forms solid chunks that are easy to ignite. When burned, it performs like wood charcoal—long-lasting, fierce, and leaves behind only a small amount of white ash. If buried under hot ashes, even the next day the embers remain bright red. Its appearance resembles crushed stone fragments, hence the name "Zhazi Charcoal" (meaning "fragmented stone charcoal"). (Yinchuan)
