Introduction: Features: They are of medium build, sturdy and compact, and good at climbing hills and slopes. Male goats stand over 60 cm tall, are about 60 cm in body length, have a chest circumference of around 62 cm, a cannon bone circumference of about 8 cm, and weigh about 50 kg; female goats stand about 55 cm tall, are 58.2 cm in body length, have a chest circumference of 63.9 cm, a cannon bone circumference of 7.3 cm, and weigh about 24 kg. Their fleece is mainly black, and both males and females have horns and beards. These goats reach sexual maturity at 6 months, are bred at 8 months, and mostly give birth to lambs in spring. They are gregarious, prefer to eat shrub leaves, are hardy and adaptable to extensive farming, and have strong disease resistance.

Uses: Lamb skin is the main product of black goats. It is glossy, jet-black, bright, and aesthetically pleasing. Particularly, the pelts of “huazi” lambs (kids) have fur fibers that cling tightly to the leather, forming S-shaped curls with a wavy texture. Adult male goats produce over 200 grams of cashmere and about 300 grams of wool; female goats produce about 180 grams of cashmere and around 265 grams of wool. The meat is edible. Wether goats weigh about 26 kg, with a slaughter rate of over 50%.
