Yichuan Persimmons

　　Yichuan persimmons are a specialty of Yichuan County in Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province. Renowned for their large size, vibrant color, and high sugar content, Yichuan persimmons are widely celebrated, and Yichuan persimmon cakes are sold across the country.

　　Yichuan persimmons are mainly produced in Shoufeng Township, Jiyi Town, and Qiulin Town. In late autumn, the persimmon trees in towns such as Jiyi, Shoufeng, and Hukou in Yichuan County—on hillsides, in valleys, and in front of and behind houses—are covered with ripe persimmons. From afar, the scenery is ablaze with a tempting, translucent red, creating a beautiful landscape. The unique mountain climate and pristine natural environment make these persimmons not only sweet and delicious but also rich in protein, vitamins, and minerals, giving them high nutritional value.
