Shaanxi Green Tea

Shaanxi green tea is collectively referred to as "Shaanqing." It has a long history of cultivation. It is mainly produced in over ten counties and districts in southern Shaanxi, including Ziyang, Ankang, Langao, Pingli, and Xixiang, which are among the country’s major tea-producing regions. Shaanqing is made from freshly picked tender tea leaves that are carefully processed through steps such as fixation, rolling, roasting, and sieving. As a result, the tea leaves are tender, rich in aromatic oils, and characterized by uniform tight strips, a lush green color, clear infusion, and a fresh, mellow, and fragrant taste with a sweet and clean aftertaste. Varieties such as Ziyang Huangu Maojian, Baijiaheyuan Stir-Fried Green, Pingli Sanya Stir-Fried Green, Gangao Longanzhai Roasted Green, and Xixiang Ziwu Immortal Tip are especially renowned for their fine processing and distinctive flavors. Among them, Ziyang's selenium-rich tea stands out as a premium product due to its various medicinal benefits.
