　　Panxi Town’s Longtanying Village Committee is a concentrated persimmon-growing area in the whole county. The renowned Yunnan green food trademark “Abecu” comes from Abecu Village under Longtanying Village Committee.

　　In recent years, Huaning County has placed great emphasis on the development of the persimmon industry. In 2006, it established the “Huaning County Persimmon Industry Office” and formed the Huaning County Persimmon Association. Persimmons have been listed as one of the county’s key “Three Trees” for focused cultivation, with continuous efforts to expand planting in suitable areas. By the end of 2012, the county had cumulatively planted 36,000 mu of persimmons, including 26,000 mu of astringent persimmons and 10,000 mu of sweet persimmons, yielding a total output of 14,093 tons and a production value of 40.45 million yuan. The products are mainly sold to Guangdong, Fujian, and Shenzhen, with an average price of 2.8 yuan per kilogram.
