Yulinquan Liquor is a dazzling jewel among China’s small koji, light-aroma liquors. Yunnan Yulinquan Liquor Co., Ltd. is located within the Yulinquan Natural Water Resource Reserve in Eshan County, Yuxi City. Surrounded by green mountains, blessed with spring-like weather all year round, and enriched by crisp spring water, fresh air, and rich local culture.
Yulinquan Liquor was first created in the mid-Qing Dynasty and gained fame across central Yunnan during the Republican era, boasting a history of over 280 years. The brand has always adhered to the traditional Yunnan method of small koji and small vat fermentation, insisting on pure grain brewing. With its uniquely smooth, sweet, clean, and refreshing style and distinctive charm, it has won enduring love from consumers, growing more fragrant with time and bringing warmth and joy to people.
In 2005, Yulinquan Liquor took a bold step forward by joining forces with TCC Group, a Fortune 500 company from Thailand, creating a powerful partnership and becoming the first wholly foreign-owned enterprise in China’s liquor industry. Backed by TCC Group’s strong financial resources, advanced management philosophy, excellent connections, and high-quality products, Yulinquan has been developed into a large-scale production base for small koji, light-aroma liquor in China, as well as an internationally renowned brand. The company has a registered capital of 60 million RMB and employs over 500 staff. By recruiting externally and training internally, it has built a professional team that is hardworking, management-savvy, business-minded, and technically skilled. In 2008, Yulinquan Liquor produced 7,000 kiloliters of base liquor, achieving sales revenue of over 100 million RMB and tax profits exceeding 20 million RMB. The company successfully developed 53° Original Mash Liquor, 12-Year 50° Aged Liquor, and 20-Year 52° Aged Liquor. These offerings, with their uniquely outstanding quality and elegant packaging, have elevated Yunnan’s small koji liquors into the mid-to-high-end market, rewriting the narrative that Yunnan has good tobacco and tea but no good liquor.
Yulinquan Liquor has achieved many milestones in its development journey. In 2007, it ranked first in expert scoring in the “Top Ten Famous Liquors of Yunnan” competition. It has been awarded the title of “Famous Trademark of Yunnan,” and has been selected as a “Consumer Favorite Product of Yunnan” for eight consecutive sessions. In 2005, the China Alcoholic Drinks Association honored Yulinquan as a “National Quality and Safety Integrity Brand for Alcoholic Products” and used it as a sample liquor for the national liquor tasting judges' evaluation. During the “China Famous Liquors” selection event hosted by China’s Ministry of Commerce, Yulinquan, as Yunnan’s sole participating brand, received high praise from experts. Most notably, Yulinquan Liquor became the only enterprise in Yunnan involved in setting the national standards for “Small Koji Liquor.” As a representative of Yunnan’s small koji, light-aroma liquor, the product’s status and industry recognition have significantly improved, making Yulinquan one of the 37 key liquor producers in China.
