Sweet Garlic of Pupiao
The production history of the Sweet Garlic of Pupiao in Baoshan spans over 150 years. Made from high-quality "pear-skin" fresh garlic as the main ingredient, it is pickled with brown sugar, vinegar, and other spices. The original shape of the garlic is preserved, and once peeled, the cloves reveal a bright and appealing golden-red color. It has a crisp, tender texture and a sweet, savory taste. It can not only stimulate the appetite but also aid digestion and relieve diarrhea. Affordable and delicious, it has long been favored by locals. Packaged in small earthenware jars, the product has a relatively long shelf life and will not mold for up to five years. This product is not only popular in western Yunnan but is also exported to Southeast Asian countries such as Myanmar, Thailand, and the Philippines. (Baoshan)
