Shiqian is honored as China’s “Spring Capital” because of its many underground hot springs. The Spring Capital Mineral Water is sourced from 400 meters underground at the Xigou Hot Spring and is a strontium-containing calcium magnesium bicarbonate type of mineral water. In 1986, it was scientifically appraised by the Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources of the People’s Republic of China, and all its indicators were in compliance with the national standards for drinking natural mineral water. Since then, regular biannual national inspections have consistently found the product to be up to standard. In March 2006, it successfully obtained a Food Production Safety License (SQ522206019787) issued by the State Administration for Market Regulation.

For twenty years of production and sales, the “Spring Capital” brand of high-quality natural mineral water has been awarded as the designated drinking water for the “August 28 Activity” in Guizhou Province,

the designated product for the China Fanjingshan International Tourism Festival and Economic & Trade Fair, the recommended product for the National Quality Month series in Guizhou, the designated drinking water for the Eighth Guizhou Provincial Congress, and the designated drinking water for the Southwest Six Provinces, One Municipality and Seven-Region Economic Coordination Meeting.
