　　Danzhai kiwifruit is a specialty of Danzhai County in Qiandongnan Prefecture, Guizhou Province. The Hongyang kiwifruit from Danzhai is medium to large in size and uniformly shaped. The fruit is short and cylindrical, with a greenish-brown, hairless skin. It is exceptionally juicy, with a well-balanced sweet and sour taste, fragrant and refreshing. It is excellent both for fresh consumption and processing, making it especially suitable for gourmet culinary applications.

　　The Hongyang kiwifruit is an elite variety selected by the Sichuan Academy of Natural Resources from natural seedlings. It thrives at altitudes between 500 and 1,300 meters, particularly on deep, fertile, hilly and mountainous soils. This kiwifruit is a rare fruit that is nutrient-rich, highly adaptable, economically valuable, and has strong market potential. It is recognized worldwide as the “king of fruits.”

　　Currently, the Hongyang kiwifruit has become a new and competitive specialty industry in Danzhai County, following the success of high-quality selenium-rich tea and selenium-rich rice production. In 1996, the county began cultivating kiwifruit in areas such as Yangwu Township and Longquan Town, achieving positive results. Since the establishment of Guizhou Fenghui Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd. in 2007, the company has developed a 200-acre demonstration plantation for Hongyang kiwifruit at the county’s fruit tree breeding farm, which has already begun yielding fruit with excellent results.
