Kalabird Cages
The cages are primarily made from materials such as nanmu bamboo, golden bamboo, and thunder bamboo—durable, resistant to deformation, and exquisitely crafted. They blend various art forms including weaving, carving, batik, embroidery, calligraphy, and painting, making them highly popular. Not only are they bestsellers across the province and beyond, but they are also exported to Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Japan, and countries in Europe and the Americas. Kalavillage is mainly engaged in farming, animal husbandry, and the traditional craft of birdcage weaving. It is honored as China’s “Hometown of Birdcage Culture and Art.”
