Primarily found in the mountainous Congjiang area of southeastern Guizhou Province. This fragrant pig has a small, compact body with a relatively straight head, fewer forehead wrinkles, small and thin ears that are slightly flared sideways or droop slightly. Its back is broad and slightly concave, while the belly is large, plump, and nearly touches the ground, with a well-rounded hindquarter. The legs are short and slender, often with hind legs that rest close to the ground. The skin is thin, the meat is fine, and the coat is mostly solid black, accounting for about 98.44%. It typically has 5–6 pairs of teats. This breed is divided into large and small types, making up 30% and 70% respectively, with 7-month-old pigs weighing around 32 kg and 25 kg respectively. Compared to other fragrant pig breeds, it is characterized by being "small, fragrant, pure, and clean." Roast suckling pig and cured suckling pig are long-renowned delicacies, with roast suckling pig being a particularly famous dish. The meat of this fragrant pig is highly nutritious—the protein content in lean meat reaches as high as 81.64%, and amino acid content reaches 72.79%, making it a premium, nutritious health food.
