Anlong Dendrobium is a specialty of Anlong County in Qiannan Buyei and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Province. The county is actively developing its new medicine and wellness industry, attracting investment to build the country’s largest wild Dendrobium officinale cultivation base. Currently, the dendrobium plants at the base are thriving and blooming on schedule, gradually yielding economic benefits.

In 2013, taking advantage of the rich mountainous forest resources in Pojiao Township, Anlong introduced Anlong Xicheng Xiushu Longlin Co., Ltd., which invested 40 million yuan to establish an imitation-wild Dendrobium officinale cultivation base in Jiutou Mountain, Group 4, Zhogui Village. Through an industrial operation model of “company + cooperative + base + farmer,” and with a development goal of cultivating 3,000 acres of wild-grown dendrobium, the company grows Dendrobium officinale epiphytically on wild tree trunks while taking effective measures to prevent harm to the trees from the dendrobium's growth. Currently, over 1,100 acres of “tree-grown” Dendrobium officinale have been cultivated. With careful nurturing, the plants entered their blooming season smoothly from the end of April this year, with dried flowers selling for 6,800 yuan per jin (500g) on the market.

As the economic benefits gradually emerge, Guizhou Xicheng Xiushu Agriculture and Forestry Co., Ltd. is seizing the opportunity and has leased over 4,000 acres of forest land, preparing to further expand operations. When completed, the annual output value of wild-grown Dendrobium officinale is expected to reach 300 million yuan, benefiting over 700 farming households and additionally driving the development of related sightseeing tourism.

The administrative regions of five towns and three subdistricts currently under the jurisdiction of Anlong County, Guizhou Province, including Longshan Town, Duzhan Town, Haizi Town, Sayu Town, Ping Town, Qifeng Subdistrict, Zhaodi Subdistrict, and Qianxiang Subdistrict.
