Zhongdu Tomatoes, primarily cultivated with the “Yinong series” tomato varieties, also include small fruit-type tomatoes, mainly planted in spring and autumn. The annual planting area covers 15,000 mu, yielding 30,000 tons of fresh fruit. Spring tomatoes are abundant on the market in early May, and autumn tomatoes in mid-October, with ex-farm wholesale prices ranging from 0.6 to 1.2 yuan per kilogram.
