Zhao Ping Green Tea is a specialty of Zhao Ping County in Hezhou City, Guangxi. Known for its "three greens and four beauties"—lush green appearance, emerald-green liquor, tender green leaves, and beautiful tea shape, tea liquor, aroma, and taste—Zhao Ping Green Tea enjoys a renowned reputation both within and beyond the region. It has been awarded a National Geographical Indication certification trademark.

Zhao Ping County is a mountainous region situated at the junction of eastern Guangxi and western Guangdong, with a forest coverage rate of 84.2%. Under the influence of a subtropical monsoon climate, it enjoys a mild climate and abundant rainfall. The area features numerous high peaks shrouded in mist, along with verdant hills rich in bubbling springs. The fertile, acidic to weakly acidic soil is highly suitable for tea cultivation. Recognized by tea experts as one of the most ideal regions for growing green tea, locals often refer to the local "green tea" collectively as "Zhao Ping Yinshan." Zhao Ping County is designated as one of China’s most ecologically suitable regions for tea production, a national eco-agriculture demonstration county, a superior green tea production zone in Guangxi, and a non-polluting tea production demonstration county in Guangxi.

Through long-term variety improvement, process innovation, and brand development, a number of well-known tea brands have been established. The products enjoy a strong reputation both within and outside the region. Zhao Ping Green Tea is acclaimed for its "three greens and four beauties"—lush green appearance, emerald-green liquor, tender green leaves, and beautiful tea shape, tea liquor, aroma, and taste—and is sold to major cities such as Shanghai, Anhui, and Zhejiang. Over 95% of the tea produced is exported.

In 2013, the "Zhao Ping Green" trademark, applied for by the Zhao Ping County Tea Association, was officially registered as a China National Geographical Indication Certification Trademark by the Trademark Office of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce, with registration number: 12124998.
