Changzhi Lu Liquor
Changzhi City in Shanxi Province was part of Shangdang Commandery during the Qin Dynasty, and the area was governed from Lüzhou. Lüzhou was known for its liquor-making, hence the name “Lu Liquor,” which is one of Shanxi’s historic famous liquors. It enjoys the reputation of “Once Lu Liquor passes Xiao Nantian, its fragrance drifts for miles and intoxicates the mountainside.” With an alcohol content of 65%, Lu Liquor is crystal clear, has a pure and delicate aroma, a rich and smooth taste, and leaves a lingering fragrance. It is a relatively typical strong-aroma Daqu liquor. In 1974, it was named a Shanxi Provincial Local Famous Liquor. In addition to being bottled in glass, Lu Liquor is also available in three different styles of ceramic bottles, among which the black ceramic jar design is the most elegant, featuring a classic antique charm that has won widespread praise from consumers.
