Changzhi Green Persimmon
Changzhi Green Persimmon
The Changzhi green persimmon is large in size and flat in shape, resembling a steamed bun. It has an orange-yellow color, thin skin, no seeds or pits, fine and juicy flesh, and a sweet and delicious taste. The fruit stem is long, with a bump in the middle of the stem. Persimmon cakes processed from green persimmons are seedless, soft, and have a thick layer of white frost. When broken apart, they can stretch out oil threads over 30 centimeters long. Place one in a bowl, pour tea over it, cover the bowl, and in just a few minutes it will completely dissolve into a golden, honey-sweet broth. Rich in beta-carotene, vitamin C, glucose, and fructose, it also contains minerals such as calcium, phosphorus, and iron. In 1981, it won the First-Class Gold Plate Award at the Panama "World's Fair."
