Lingchuan Free-Range Chicken Eggs
Lingchuan Free-Range Chicken Eggs
The chickens are fully free-range, roaming and foraging in wooded areas every day and eating only natural foods such as insects and wild grass. Due to an unbalanced diet, the eggs laid by these chickens are relatively small in size. However, because they consume a lot of leafy greens, the yolks contain higher levels of carotenoids and vitamin B2, resulting in larger, darker yolks. Nutritional studies have found that compared to eggs from grain-fed chickens, those from free-range chickens show clear differences in fat content, vitamin E content, and long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acid content, with free-range eggs having higher levels than those from grain-fed chickens.
