Lijiang Soybean Oil
Lijiang white soybean oil is rich in nutrition, with an amino acid nitrogen content as high as 3.7%. Regular consumption can invigorate the spleen and stomach, and enhance intelligence. The oil is fine in texture, crafted with a unique process, and boasts a pure aroma. It can be left out for a day without drying, molding, or losing flavor — truly remarkable. Legend has it that when Emperor Qianlong visited the south of the Yangtze River, he enjoyed a dish in this town called “Clear Soup with White Jade Rice and Red-Mouthed Green Pigeon,” for which the seasoning was made from white flour blended with this soybean oil. It later became one of the Emperor’s imperial delicacies.
