Huayuan Oil Tea
Huayuan Oil Tea is a specialty of Huayuan County in Xiangxi Prefecture, Hunan Province. The area has a long history of oil tea cultivation, abundant oil tea resources, and strong local enthusiasm for growing oil tea.
The county currently has over 110,000 mu of oil tea plantations, situated in a selenium-rich soil belt, offering great potential for oil tea development. This includes 50,000 mu of low-yield improved oil tea forests, primarily in Changle Township, as well as 50,000 mu of newly planted oil tea forests in townships such as Tuanjie and Longtan. Currently, the county is actively seeking approval from higher authorities for a 100,000-mu organic selenium-rich oil tea development project.
Located at the border between Huayuan and Baojing counties, Changle Township in Huayuan County makes full use of locally sourced, purely natural, pollution-free wild oil tea materials. By employing a low-temperature pressing process, it has developed premium tea oil that is of excellent quality, clear in color, and pure in flavor — a truly natural, organic, and green food product.
