Baozigou Grapes
Baozigou Village is located in Habo Township, Lulong County. Relying on its unique natural conditions, the village has developed grape cultivation as its leading industry to promote the "one village, one product" initiative. Currently, all of the village's arable land and developable barren hills are planted with edible grapes, primarily the Muscat variety, covering an area of 1,500 mu. All households in the village are involved in grape cultivation, and over 90% of the village's total output value comes from the grape industry. Grape income accounts for 95% of the village's per capita net income.
The grapes of Baozigou Village ripen early, have a high sugar content, and are of superior quality, earning the village the reputation of being the "Turpan of the Bohai Coast." The main grape variety is Muscat, along with others such as Kyoho, Longan, Victoria, Beauty Finger, and Mare's Milk. Grape production in the village follows unified pollution-free production technical standards and has been certified as a pollution-free fruit base by Hebei Province. The "Baozigou" and "Shanjia Grapes" trademarks have also been registered.
In addition, the village has developed an eco-tourism industry centered around grape estates, complemented by mountain-water landscapes and local folk culture. It has been rated as a National AA-level Tourist Attraction and is actively being developed into a premier rural tourism destination for cities such as Beijing, Tianjin, Tangshan, and Qinhuangdao. In 2010, the village's total economic income reached 8.673 million yuan, with a per capita net income of 10,448 yuan, making it one of the first villages in Lulong County to achieve a per capita income exceeding 10,000 yuan. The village's collective economy has grown steadily year by year, and farmers' incomes have continued to rise, successfully realizing the goal of promoting prosperous villages and wealthy residents through the "one village, one product" development model.
