August Osmanthus of Yidu
The August Osmanthus of Yidu remains evergreen throughout the year. It features a tall, upright form with a round, dense canopy, lush branches, and blooms in autumn, filling the air with a rich fragrance — truly a standout among flowers in the season. Commonly used as an ornamental garden tree, it can be planted alone, in pairs, or in clusters and groves. Planting osmanthus trees around homes or near windows creates a “golden breeze carrying fragrance” effect. Osmanthus has certain resistance to harmful gases such as chlorine, sulfur dioxide, and hydrogen fluoride, and also possesses strong dust-absorbing capabilities. It is often used for greening in urban areas and industrial zones.
