Flavored Wild Fish Jerky
Whitefish and redbelly fish are specialties of Danjiangkou, the source of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project. Danjiang is a freshwater lake with national first-class water quality. Nongfu Spring, a renowned Chinese enterprise, established a seafood production base here after professional evaluation. The reservoir area boasts lush vegetation and a rich diversity of wild fish species.
Whitefish and redbelly fish feed on small miscellaneous fish, resulting in delicate and refreshing meat that is rich in 19 types of amino acids essential to the human body, especially the essential amino acids—lysine, methionine, and tryptophan—which are found in high concentrations. Meanwhile, their fat content is very low, unmatched by any terrestrial animal, and they offer significant benefits for improving overall health and promoting the physical and intellectual development of children. In February 2006, the British journal *Human Life and Health* (Issue 2) published expert advice on human life and health in the 21st century: to enhance physical fitness and improve health, one should eat more white meat and less red meat.
The flavored whitefish jerky and flavored redbelly fish produced by Liushi Flavored Fish Food Co., Ltd. are made from live wild whitefish and redbelly fish sourced from the Danjiangkou Reservoir. They are processed using traditional recipes that preserve the original nutritional value and umami flavor of the products, while also using various natural spices to replace the solid water within the fish. Whether steamed, braised, pan-fried, or cooked in other ways, no additional seasonings are needed (soak in clean water for 30 minutes before cooking), just add an appropriate amount of cooking wine and ginger. Once cooked, the product is richly aromatic, delicious, and leaves a long-lasting aftertaste.
The ready-to-eat flavored fish strips and flavored small whitefish are made from wild Danjiang fish and undergo refined processing using a unique traditional recipe, releasing a strong, mellow aroma that stimulates the appetite, leaves a lingering aftertaste, and is truly unforgettable.
