Nanyang Silk

　　Nanyang silk is renowned both at home and abroad for its vibrant color, soft luster, and lightweight softness. Traditional silk is divided into two types: domestic silk and mountain silk. Domestic silk is made from mulberry silkworms, while mountain silk is made from tussah silk, also known as tussah cloth. Both types of silk are of excellent quality, tightly woven, beautifully patterned, and radiant like brocade. They have "long been famous far and wide" and are among Henan’s major export goods. Nanyang is particularly prominent in the silk industry. Among the many varieties of Nanyang silk, the tussah filament 2/6 raw silk (code 64411-3) has long been the "trump card" in the international market, while the tussah filament 2/6 finished silk (code 63311-3) has been designated as a national brand-name product.
