Fangcheng County Rutile Mine

　　According to the exploration conducted by the Second Geological Survey Institute of the Henan Provincial Bureau of Geology and Mineral Exploration and Development, a world-class, super-large rutile deposit has been discovered in Fangcheng County. The ore belt stretches 30 kilometers in length and covers an area of approximately 60 square kilometers. The submitted weathered crust-type rutile reserves at C+D grade amount to 1.2 million tons, with a predicted prospective weathered crust rutile resource volume of 12.39 million tons, primary resource volume of 44.87 million tons, and total resource volume reaching 57.26 million tons. The ore grade generally contains 2–5% TiO₂, with rutile TiO₂ content typically ranging from 1.5–3.5%. The highest recorded value is 4.1%, averaging 2.22%.
