Leting Peaches
In August 2001, Leting County was designated as the "Peach Township of China" by the State Forestry Administration.
Leting County, located on the coast of the Bohai Sea in the southeastern part of Tangshan City, Hebei Province, is a beautiful and fertile area with convenient transportation. The Tanggang Expressway provides direct access to Tangshan and connects to the rest of the country. The county has 150,000 mu of fresh peach orchards, producing 23,000 tons of peaches annually and generating an annual output value of 380 million yuan. Related industries such as processing, packaging, and storage bring in an additional 390 million yuan per year. Peach production accounts for 22% of the county’s total agricultural output value, with both yield and economic benefits ranking first in the province.
Over 70% of the peaches cultivated in Leting County are white-fleshed honey peaches.
