Taihe Shukou Tea
Taihe "Shukou Tea" is produced on Shukouzhou in Mashizhen, Taihe County. With a history dating back to the Tang Dynasty, it has over a thousand years of heritage.
The tea undergoes seven processing steps from leaf picking to finished product: fixation, rolling, second firing, re-rolling, initial drying, cooling, and final drying. It is known for its tightly twisted, gracefully curved leaves with a glossy emerald green hue and visible fine hairs. The tea boasts a high, refreshing aroma, a mellow and richly sweet taste, a bright yellow-green liquor, intact green leaves, and a smooth, fragrant mouthfeel with a long-lasting aftertaste. Historically, it was served as a tribute tea. After liberation, the
tea industry developed rapidly, reaching an area of 650 mu and a total output of 85,000 kilograms by 1985. The product is sold both domestically and internationally.
