Zhangping Shuangyang Wind-Dried Duck
Zhangping Shuangyang Town in western Fujian is located in a remote mountainous area, where the climate features frosty low temperatures, abundant sunshine, and fresh air. The locals have a century-long tradition of processing wind-dried duck. The plump, flavorful duck meat is easy to preserve, and in the past, it was made solely for family consumption during the Lunar New Year.
Nowadays, the meticulously processed and improved Ningyang Wind-Dried Duck takes advantage of the unique natural conditions and geographical environment of high-altitude, cold regions over 1,000 meters above sea level—such as frosty winds, abundant sunlight, and pristine air. It uses locally bred high-quality Muscovy ducks, primarily fed on rice, as the main ingredient, and is carefully crafted at the right time. With exquisite packaging, it becomes a distinctive local delicacy known for its golden, shiny color, delicious and mellow taste, and health benefits such as aiding digestion and improving spleen function. It is an excellent choice for gifts and entertaining guests, and is hailed as one of the finest dishes in western Fujian.
