　　The brush pen is a unique traditional writing and painting tool in China. In 1976, Xu Songjun and his son Xu Zhongfei from Xikeng Village, Zhao’an County, used seabird feathers as raw material and, through more than 20 processes including feather selection, washing, bundling the pen core, and attaching the shaft, created the “Purple Feather Spring Flower” brush pen. Over the years, continuous improvements have been made, enhancing its quality, while also gradually increasing its variety of styles and colors. The “Purple Feather Spring Flower” brush is bold yet graceful, producing special effects in painting. Leaders and artists such as Xiao Jingguang, Liu Haisu, Chen Dayu, and Li Xiongcai have all inscribed or painted in praise of it, remarking: “Excellent for painting. Extremely comfortable and responsive for writing.” “Its performance is outstanding, and its most valuable trait is the combination of soft roundness with elasticity and resilience.” National and provincial leaders have also presented the “Purple Feather” pens as gifts to friends both at home and abroad on multiple occasions.
