Hexiangyuan Resort is a national AA-level tourist attraction.

Hexiangyuan Resort is a comprehensive tourism resource unit that combines both natural and cultural resources. It is located in the central part of Hulunbuir City, at the northern foot of the Greater Khingan Mountains, within the territory of the Tulihe Forestry Bureau. The area has a cold temperate continental climate, characterized by long, harsh winters, mild and rainy summers, large diurnal temperature variations, and abundant precipitation. The resort covers a total area of 4,660 hectares, with a forest coverage rate as high as 88.4%. The main tree species include larch, Korean pine, and birch. The main scenic areas consist of: Hexiangyuan Resort, Chairman Liu Shaoqi Memorial Forest, Birch Forest Scenic Area, Mangyankou Scenic Area, Five-Connected Pools, Grand Landscape Canyon, Fantasy Wonder Valley, Thunder God Rock, and Demon King Cave.

Hexiangyuan Resort preserves the pristine ecological landscape of nature. As the northernmost green ecological barrier of China, the Greater Khingan Mountains boast abundant natural resources: over 4,000 hectares of wetlands and primeval forests, and 235 species of wild plants from 82 genera and 38 families. Wildlife resources include 18 species of wild animals from 12 orders and 6 families. Every year from July to September, more than 100 wild grey cranes and white cranes can also be spotted in Hexiangyuan Resort.
