The main peak of the Urad Mountain Range, the southern branch of the western section of the Yin Mountains, is the famous “Dahuabei.” It is located 60 kilometers east of Wulate Front Banner, north of Bayinhua Town. Here, ancient trees tower into the sky, birch forests flourish, pines and cypresses sway like waves, and birds sing in chorus. In summer and autumn, the scenery is picturesque and the climate is pleasant, making it an ideal retreat for rest and summer vacation. From the summit of Dahuabei, one can enjoy panoramic views of Baotou City, the Yellow River, and Ming’anchuan, as well as the beautiful lake and mountain landscapes of Wuliangsuhai.

Bayinhua Town: Bayinhua Town (marked as “Baiyanhua” on Chinese maps) is one of the four pastoral sumu-towns in Wulate Front Banner. It lies 50 kilometers east of Baotou City, a national key industrial hub, faces Ordos City across the Yellow River to the south, and borders Urad Mountain to the north, earning it the title “The Eastern Gateway of Bayannur.” National Highway 110, the Baotou-Lanzhou Railway, and the Dandong–Lhasa Expressway all run through the town. The area enjoys ample electricity supply and convenient communication. The town covers a total area of 376 square kilometers, governs 7 gachas and 3 village committees, with a total population of over 10,000, including 9,000 non-agricultural and non-pastoral residents.
