Shilang City
Introduction Located within Zhenglan Banner, there is an ancient city ruin built during the Jin Dynasty — Shilang City. This ancient city ruin is also square-shaped, consisting of an outer city and an inner city. The walls on all four sides are mostly made of earth, with a total perimeter of over 4 kilometers. It is verified that Shilang City was constructed by the Jurchen people of Huanzhou and was a fief bestowed by the Jin emperors to officials. Currently, only the ruins of the city walls remain, but the gates and barbicans of both the outer and inner cities can still be seen, as well as battlements on the walls. This ancient city ruin was designated as a key cultural relic protection unit of the autonomous region in 1987.
