The Shitan Weiling Tomb Cluster is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Shitan Weiling Tomb Cluster is located at Weiling in Shitan Town, Zengcheng City. In 2000, ten brick-chambered tombs were excavated, dating back to the early Eastern Han Dynasty. Burial objects unearthed include bronze mirrors, bells, and wuzhu coins; as well as pottery items such as jars, pots, tripods, cauldrons, gui vessels, bowls, basins, kui vessels, trays, houses, granaries, stoves, wells, oxen, sheep, along with crystals and agates. Among them, Tomb No. 10 yielded a dated brick inscribed with “the first month of the tenth year of Yongping...” The tenth year of Yongping corresponds to 67 AD, making this tomb the earliest Eastern Han Dynasty tomb discovered in the Guangzhou area.

Shitan Town: I. Basic Information     Shitan Town is located in the southern part of Zengcheng City and is one of the first five model central towns in Guangzhou. It lies at the eastern end of the eastern sector of Guangzhou, bordering Li Cheng to the north and facing Dongguan across the river to the south. In February 2004, Zengcheng carried out an administrative division adjustment at the town level, merging the former Sanjiang Town and Shazhuang Subdistrict into Shitan Town. The enlarged Shitan Town covers an administrative area of 184 square kilometers, governs 47 administrative villages and 3 neighborhood committees, with a registered population of over 110,000 and a migrant population of over 60,000.     II.
