The Baimian Stone Red Tourism Area is situated in Baimian Stone Village, located in the eastern part of Zhengguo Town, and is a well-known revolutionary base area. In the village’s Luanshiping and Tiger Stone Mountain areas, you can find the former site of the Zenglongbo Central County Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, the ruins of the Dongyue Beijiang agency, the site of the first major battlefield of the South China Anti-Japanese War, a memorial pavilion for anti-Japanese soldiers, and martyrs’ tombs. It is a remarkable red tourism site for commemorating revolutionary martyrs and promoting national spirit through patriotic education. Although Baimian Stone Village is just a small settlement with a population of just over 200, historical records confirm that the first battle of the South China Anti-Japanese War broke out here. Many Chinese sons and daughters took on the heavy responsibility of national survival and served as pioneers in defending their homeland. The command center for the anti-Japanese efforts was located at the former site of the Zenglongbo Central County Committee. Later, the local government rebuilt the former committee site into a memorial museum dedicated to the anti-Japanese struggle. More importantly, it serves as a classroom for patriotic education, reminding future generations not to forget national humiliation and to strive for the rise of China.

Zhengguo Town: Historical Evolution: The name originated from a shepherd boy named Yu Bin. Legend has it that when he was eight years old, he herded cattle and possessed a special ability that prevented the cattle from straying beyond the boundaries he marked to graze. It is said that he later "attained enlightenment" in this area. In the third year of the Qingyuan era during the Southern Song Dynasty (1198), the Zhengguo Temple was built, leading to the development of a market town, which was initially named "Zhengguo" and later simplified to "Zhengguo." During the Ming and Qing dynasties, it was part of the Jinniu District of Zengcheng County. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, it was designated as the Fifth District. In 1958, it was renamed Zhengguo People's Commune (during the Cultural Revolution, it was temporarily called Qianjin People's Commune).
